Fly Traps & Zappers

Sold under a number of different names, the electric fly killer – also known as bug zapper, insect zapper, fly zapper and insect killer is a tool used by commercial kitchen premises to kill a range of flying insects which invade their premises. Target species are usually bugs and flies.

These electric fly killers operate by attracting flying insects to ultraviolet light – as the insect is attracted towards the light, it enters an area between two electrically charged bars or grids, completing the circuit. Once this circuit is complete, the electric current kills the fly. This technology provides an incredibly efficient way of dealing with problem flies and insects at an excellent price point.
