Pub Cleaning Checklist

It’s a popular expression used to describe grimy & dirty pubs…’your feet stick to the floor’ and that’s a reputation that no establishment wants or needs. Those in the bar & pub industry should know that it takes around twenty seconds for someone to enter a pub, and choose whether or not to stay for a drink, and/or a meal. A big part of this decision making process relies on the cleanliness and perceive hygiene of your establishment.

Of course, keeping a pub or a bar clean is a daily task – with some tasks being carried out numerous times a day. At Cleaning Supplies 4U, we supply cleaning products to many bars, restaurants and pubs across the UK – so understand the importance in delivering powerful cleaning products and equipment, at prices that protect your profits.

In this article, we look through some of the cleaning tasks you can carry out to keep your pub looking it’s best – please note however, this article does not cover cleaning of some of the pub/bar equipment, for specific instructions on these cleaning instructions – refer to product information.

KEEP THE BAR CLEAN

Keeping the bar wiped clean is one of the most important tasks that you can do to keep your establishment looking in good condition. During the day, the bar will have drinks spilt on it, as well as collect everything from crisp crumbs to general dust. A simple wipe down throughout the day will keep the bar dry, clean & hygienic.

CARPETS & FLOORING

It’s likely that your pub or bar will have a combination of soft flooring (carpets) and hard flooring, which could be anything from tiles to wooden flooring. Keep both types of floor, clean & safe.

DUSTING

Pubs & Bars are the absolute perfect environment for dust to settle on, whether it’s dust settling on the rows of bottles on behind the bar, or within the many trinkets that make your establishment unique – keep on control of dust with plenty of dusting & wiping.

TOILETS

Although some people may lose their toilet manners whilst drinking, it’s important that you keep a good handle on the cleanliness of your toilet spaces. Bleach the toilets, mop the floor, and wipe clean everything from basins to urinals.

FIGHT GERMS

An Anti-Bacterial cleaner should be used on all surfaces within your pub, especially areas which receive a lot of touching and traffic. Think door knobs, rails on the bar and tables. If you kill the germs, you will keep your customers and staff – healthy & safe.
